Ed Tech: Screen Casting

Today in EdTech we learned and explored multimedia and how to screencast.

This application allows the user to record their screen, their audio as well as the user. This will be a beneficial application for teachers when creating their own resources.

I will use screencasting must be used in an environment where there is no background audio in order to ensure the sound is clear.

Here is the link to the video I filmed exploring information concerning the coronavirus. 😛

We then looked at how to create a podcast using Audacity. This was difficult for me to accomplish due to the IOS update I have not being supported. I worked with Jahniaa Thomas and we recorded us discussing our prior field trip to Rebecca’s classroom.

Audacity seems to be useful but screencasting could accomplish the same goal if needed.

Having students using the Screencasting to record themselves doing research on nutrition, this could have students researching meals that their heritage associates with or just researching the recipes of their favourite meals and the nutritional values. This could be an idea for a controlled inquiry. This could lead to students learning about their heritage. This could also lead to students learning about health and fitness.

Thanks Again!
